What types of paint do you use?

That’s a great question, and my answer is based on experience with many different paints during my career as a residential painter. Both Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore offer a variety of excellent products. I do not recommend contractor grade paints to my residential customers because while those paints may be good for the contractor, it’s unlikely that they’ll serve the longterm needs of the homeowner very well. Because of my painting contractor’s discount, even the very best Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore paints are more affordable than you might expect. I’ve used most lines of paint from both manufacturers, and can offer advice about paints that will be best for your particular walls, trim and ceilings. When I recommend a particular paint to my clients, it’s because I want the paint in their homes to have a beautiful, elegant finish, be durable, resist color fading, and be environmentally friendly.
